Product Description

Kimball “Viennese” Grand Piano in HPE

This is one of the great Grands produced by the Kimball corporation in collaboration with the esteemed Viennese Bosendorfer piano manufacturer. The Kimball/Bosendorfer combination produced a great sounding piano utilizing the piano manufacturing skills renowned for both companies with the highest quality materials and implementing the Bosendorfer scale design.   The product is an American made piano that has a rich lush tone of a European piano.  This would make a fine piano for any level piano player. The deep rich tones will inspire music you never thought you had in you.

Kimball was possibly one of the most famous of all piano manufacturers in the history of piano making. William Wallace Kimball founded the W.W. Kimball Company in 1857. W.W. Kimball was an amazing entrepreneur and sales genius, and was able to promote his pianos on a nationwide basis that was very much ahead of its time. Prior to about 1880, most pianos sold by Kimball were actually built by other manufacturers such as Hallet & Davis, Emerson, Chickering, and H.P. Hale. By the turn-of-the-century, Kimball was manufacturing around 20,000 pianos annually! Kimball produced a handful of other brand names including Hinze, Dunbar, Whitney, and Harrison. In 1959, Kimball was sold to The Jasper American Corporation under the name of Kimball International.  The year 1966 saw the acquisition of the prestigious Bosendorfer piano maker and that partnership lasted for almost 40 years. The Kimball corporation ceased production of piano and organs in 1996, but these great American pianos can still be seen in many homes and schools across America.
