Mason & Hamlin Model AA Grand Piano in Mahogany (SOLD)

Mason & Hamlin built some of the U.S.’s highest quality instruments. This piano is a perfect example of the Mason & Hamlin company at its peak in manufacturing. Even though not as popular today as Steinway & Sons, pianos made by the original Mason & Hamlin company often are worth more due to their quality and rarity. Built in 1906, one of the true “Golden Years” of piano manufacturing, there was no expense spared. Honduran Mahogany cabinet, solid, old growth spruce soundboard and the list goes on.

We were extremely excited to find this piano and it had been well taken care of. Structurally it was in great shape, it was just at the point where it could not play at its full capability unless restored. So we completely refinished it inside and out, restrung it with German wire and Canadian Bass strings, rebuilt the entire action with new Wessell, Nickel, Gross parts. And of course it turned out amazing. We’ve had so much fun not only working on this piano , but also playing it. We will truly miss it when it finds it’s new owner.
