We service pianos of all types and sizes.

Here at DC Piano Co., we have years of experience servicing the 1000’s of pianos that come through our shop. In fact, just about every piano that comes into our shop gets a full service lubrication, regulation, and several tunings to get them prepared for resale. We’ve gotten quite efficient at doing this work in our shop and in customers’ homes.   From doing small fine tuning adjustments to full restoration jobs, no job is too little or too much for us to handle.

Please contact us at 510-549-9755 to arrange a tuning or make an appointment below.

BOOK APPOINTMENT

Tuning and Basic Service: $225

A standard fine tuning service appointment lasts typically 1-1½ hours. This appointment includes a basic inspection of the piano and servicing problematic keys/ parts and basic regulation adjustments that are able to be serviced under the scope of the basic service time frame.

Pitch Adjustment: $50

If your piano hasn’t been tuned in over a year, sometimes 6 months, it usually needs a pitch adjustment. This means the piano has fallen flat or raised sharp from the standard concert pitch of A440. This adjustment tuning allows the piano to be able to be stabilized at the desired pitch for a fine tuning.

Refurbishment Service Package: $375

Usually a 2 1/2 – 3 hour visit, pianos that haven’t been properly serviced in  5 + years could benefit from this service.  This includes, vacuuming debris from the insides of the piano, lubricating keys, lubricating action parts, lubricating pedals and trapwork, regulation adjustments, cleaning/vacuuming for performance/ functionality of the instrument. A pitch adjustment and fine tuning are included.

Cleaning services, cosmetic: $150-$200

Depending on the scope of the job most cosmetic cleaning, including soundboard cleaning will get all that pesky dust out from under and inside the instrument and allow for a clean functioning instrument.

NOTE: If you’re not in the local area, we can refer a technician in your region. You can also refer to the Piano Technicians Guild for a local recommendation.
